Woodenhead 2007, Russian River Valley. Ripe raspberries, chamomile, violets & pennyroyal on the nose. Raspberries infuse the palate, along with the flavors of brandied cherries, rhubarb pie and damp earth. The finish lingers, with slightly tart notes of pomegranates & stone fruits. The tannins are soft and finely grained & the acidity is food-friendly.

Chateau StJean 2009, Napa. Inviting aromas of blackberry, black tea and hints of leather. The wine is concentrated and structured with a ripe fruit core of dark berry fruit. The palate is round and full and leads to a lingering finish.
Merlot
Rodney Strong 2008, Russian River Plum and blueberry flavors with a touch of dried herb predominate in this soft, rich, mouth filling merlot, and are enhanced by aging in small oak barrels for a toasty, spicy vanilla character, and a lingering berry-cream finish.
Chateau StJean 2007 Napa. Aromas of sweet black cherry, cola and clove. These bright fruit characters mingle with notes of blackberry and chocolate. The wine is round and dense with polished tannins.

Wild Hog 2007, Sonoma Coast You will find blackberries and plums, in the mouth. It has great structure, round mouth feel, and smooth finish. The weather extremes make this wine complex and fruit-driven.
Woodenhead 2007 Guido Venturi This dark ruby Zin has a classic nose of sage, violets and dark plums. On the palate, the flavors of bing cherries, plums and currants dominate, leading to a lingering finish that is framed in finely grained, slightly peppery tannins and new leather.
